...Mrs. Giles 6th grade class in Carthage, TX.
These kids not only learned about the problem of AIDS around the world, but they decided to do something about it. After hearing the story about a little boy in Rwanda who has AIDS, a student in the classroom wrote this prayer and passed it around the room for everyone to sign:

Dear God,
Please help those who have AIDS all over the world. Help them to eat better. Bless them and help them to get saved. Please help others to find the goodness in their heart to help those who have AIDS. In Jesus name we pray.

Amen, The 6th Grade PACE Class

This class raised money for HIV testing in Rwanda by doing chores for teachers!

What a COOL idea!! Thanks Mrs. Giles' class!

Coins for Congo

At Central Baptist Church, Carthage, Texas,GA's and teachers gave their time and their hearts to benefit children in Congo in need of school fees, uniforms, and supplies by hosting a luncheon termed "Coins for Congo." Because of this effort, there are children who will gain an education that would not otherwise have been possible.

Thank you Central GA's!!! You are making a difference!

For 3 years, Girls in Action at Central have continued to collect Coins for Congo from the entire church to send to help the children with food and other needs.
